Sections:

Allure and Elle Magazine both have a very minimal amount of sections on their table of contents page, while Vanity Fair has a multitude of them in small boxes across the page. However, Elle's sections are all accompanied by pictures, while Vanity Fair and Allure's do not

Photography:

Both Allure and Vanity Fair contain full image photography in their table of contents, while Elle contains mostly snippets or cutouts of images. However, Allure and Elle's photos are more clean and contained photos taken indoors, while Vanity Fair's photos seem more nature oriented.

Fonts:

All 3 magazines use serif fonts in their table of contents.

Similarities and Differences:

Similarities between all three magazines are that they use a lot of white, black, and hold in their table of contents color palette. They all use Serif fonts and feature women to attract their target audience. However, they differ in page composition, number of sections, articles, and types of photos taken. Ideas that these table of contents pages give me are color palettes containing gold, and black, which seem to be reoccurring colors, the use of clean and professional photography, serif fonts to make the page look sophisticated, and including a lot of useful information. My personal favorite was Allure's table of contents, because it is elegant and minimal, without a lot of clutter. It has a pretty layout without crowding the page.
