Composite images are putting images together to make a fluent and believable final image. In class we worked to make our own composite images, first making one with the class and then making our own independent composite image, Here I will share my process in making my own.

Before we begin, this was the class composite image:

And this was the composite image that I made on my own:

I made this composite image using the following images:

I made this by using the select tool, and selecting the model. I copied her and then pasted her into the background, adjusting her as fit. Then, I started to work on her reflection in the mirror, which was a very long process that I tried to make sure looked as good as possible given what I have and not having another reference image of the model from a different perspective. I first used the stamp tool to continue the model's hair past her shoulder to show that her back was turned, and I edited the image of the fist onto her hand to make the different perspective believable, blending it in using the brush tool and blur tool to make it match her skin tone. I used more brush and blur to separate and switch her arms to match the perspective. Then I put a slight gray mask over the reflection and set it at 25% opacity. Then I selected a few of the products from the pink cosmetics photo, copied and pasted them onto the desk of the main image, adjusting them as I went along to make them look more realistic. Finally, I used the burn tool to darken her skin a little to help her blend into the room's atmosphere and soft, low light to prevent her from standing out too much and looking separate from the background. I feel that this ended up being successful and that the images fit well and flow nicely with each other into one consecutive image.

Here are some screenshots of my layers:

I found all of my images from Pinterest.
