Magazine Genre Selection

During both of my photoshoots, I found ways to experiment with ways to take new photos using new angles, shots, and sets. I learned a lot about making a successful and impactive shot through experience and critique. I chose the beauty genre because I have an interest in the process of glorification and charm of beauty products and showing off products that I like. My magazine will be different from and stand out from others with this genre because I will make sure to experiment with different angles, camera shots, editing tricks, and lighting techniques. The audience that I want to target are people who take an interest in things like makeup, beauty products, and the impact of beauty standards. Things that I think should be kept in mind in my genre selection is stylization and different editing techniques and angles, to make every shot stand out as it's own piece.
