To strengthen the idea of my magazine and to help me better plan and imagine how I want it to look, I sketched my own draft of what I would want my magazine cover to look like.
I drew the masthead "Belle et Fatale" with the font “Rosie Brown Serif” which I mentioned in my font research post. The main cover line is in the same font as says "Makeup : Do's & Dont's " which is also in the Rosie Brown Serif font, and provides a basis of what the audience can find in my magazine.
My main image is of various makeup products, such as lipsticks, a blush palette, and mascara laying next to each other. I wanted to use these products because my magazine mostly focuses on beauty and skincare, so these items relate to my theme.
I added other small headings with information to make this more realistic. The headings and captions that I provided include what my magazine entails, to give the readers an idea of what my magazine is about. I also included a barcode on the side to make my magazine look more realistic.
